The home of the groom’s parents was the site of both the service and the reception as 170 friends and family gathered to witness the outdoor wedding. It all took place in exactly the same spot where Brent had proposed to Jacqueline two years earlier. He had carved a big heart in a willow tree that said ‘Marry Me’ complete with their initials: J + B. When the details of the wedding were being planned, Jacqueline had said that she didn’t want a limousine and her father said, “I’ll drive you.” It was a sentimental journey as she recalled the endless times, over the years, that her dad had driven her.
The lovely setting has willow trees that cascade over the pond. After dinner, the guests enjoyed fireworks over the pond as they ate ice cream from a sundae station. The bridal couple danced to “Happy Everafter in Your Eyes” by Ben Harper – a song that is special to them.
